Full Show Hire from Thespis

Now Launched – Theatre Royal Norwich

Our Carousel The Musical costume collection has officially launched with NNOS (Norfolk & Norwich Operatic Society) at the Theatre Royal.

This full-show wardrobe package has been developed in our Thespis studio to reflect the turn-of-the-century American setting of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic musical. Designed for scale, movement and choral staging, the collection delivers cohesive visual storytelling across principals and ensemble alike.

Production photography from the Theatre Royal performance will be added shortly.

Authentic Turn-of-the-Century American Detailing

Set in a New England coastal town in the early 1900s, Carousel demands careful attention to silhouette, fabric and social class distinction.

Our collection reflects circa 1900–1915 American styling, including:

• Carnival and fairground attire
• Mill worker and dockside clothing
• New England town daywear
• Principal character tailoring
• Period underpinnings and hats

Every garment is designed to work as part of a complete visual package.

Full Show Costume Coverage

As with all Thespis productions, this is a complete wardrobe hire.

Principals
Billy Bigelow, Julie Jordan, Nettie Fowler, Carrie Pipperidge, Enoch Snow and supporting roles are fully costumed with character-led detailing.

Ensemble
Layered New England townspeople, carnival workers and community scenes designed for strong chorus staging and fluid scene transitions.

Fairground & Carousel Styling
Authentic early 20th-century American fairground influences appropriate to the setting and tone of the production.
