Welcome to the Thespis Theatrical Costumiers uniform hire collection — offering a wide range of authentic and reproduction military, police and period uniforms for events, productions and re-enactments.

Our selection ranges from Titanic, WWI & WWII, Vietnam-era US Army and USAF uniforms through to medieval ceremonial coats, and even specialist looks such as Peaky Blinders police uniforms.

We hold many original items sourced from around the world alongside high-quality reproductions — and as with all Thespis costumes, appropriate footwear is included.

Our Uniform Collection

We offer a large and flexible range suitable for theatre, film, events and historical re-enactment:

Journey's End is a 1928 dramatic play by English playwright R. C. Sherriff, set in the trenches near Saint-Quentin, Aisne, towards the end of the First World War. The story plays out in the officers' dugout of a British Army infantry company from 18 March 1918 to 21 March 1918, providing a glimpse of the officers' lives in the last few days before Operation Michael.

Events & Re-enactments

We regularly supply costumes for:

• Historical re-enactments and themed events

We also offer 1940s ladies’ dresses and hats to complement military uniforms for a complete and authentic look.

Extended Costume Range

In addition to uniforms, we stock a wide variety of supporting costumes:

• 1940s / 1950s usherettes
• 1950s American diner waitresses
• 1970s café and service costumes

We can also supply full Roman costumes with armour for re-enactment events and hold a large stock of period Titanic life jackets.
