Our extensive costume collection supports a wide range of photographic work, including period shoots, theatrical concepts, editorial projects, themed events and character-led imagery.
All costumes are supplied as professional garments and are hired under our standard terms.
We are always pleased to see Thespis costumes used in high-quality creative work and regularly work with photographers on a commercial basis.
From time to time, we may support selected projects where there is a clear benefit to both parties, particularly where imagery may be used for ongoing marketing and promotional purposes.
Please note: costume hire is not provided free of charge as standard, and all enquiries are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Due to production commitments, we are unable to support speculative or unpaid projects unless agreed in advance.
We are a full-show costume hire specialist, and our collections are always prioritised for theatre productions.
To avoid breaking up complete costume sets — which is detrimental to full-show hire and ongoing production commitments — costume hire for photography is only available where timing allows.
In most cases, this is limited to a short window of approximately two - three weeks prior to a production booking.
All enquiries must fit within our existing preparation, delivery and collection schedules so that our theatre clients are not affected.
All costume hire for photography is treated in the same way as any Thespis hire. Standard booking procedures apply, including reservation deposits, hire agreements and security deposits where required.
Where projects are subject to confidentiality or non-disclosure agreements (NDA), Thespis fully understands the need for discretion. The release and use of any imagery can be delayed and agreed in line with production schedules and public release dates.
We are always happy to support mutual promotion. Where appropriate, we will credit photographers and may include links to their websites, and we kindly ask that Thespis is credited where our costumes are featured.
