Set during the final years of the Vietnam War and its aftermath, the story follows Kim, a young Vietnamese woman, and Chris, an American GI, whose brief but profound love affair is shattered by the fall of Saigon.
Years later, when Chris returns to Vietnam with his American wife, the truth of the life Kim has built — and the son they share — leads to one of musical theatre’s most tragic and powerful conclusions.
